Gutierrez worked McNally to the body
and the head for the stoppage.
McNally drives in on a double-leg takedown but
Gutierrez easily defends it. McNally rams him into the fence,
looking to inside trip his foe, but Gutierrez uses a whizzer to
toss him over his hip and wind up on top in half guard. McNally
turns and seeks a heel hook, but is quickly shut down. McNally is
able to slide his back up the fence and stand, but not before
eating a few punches from Gutierrez. McNally keeps pursuing a
takedown, but lacks the explosion to close the distance on the
rangy Texan. The Cincinnati native wades into the clinch and takes
a stiff left knee to the body, followed by another to the left eye
socket.
He crumbles to the canvas and Gutierrez swarms with long, whipping
ground-and-pound, forcing referee Don Turnage into action.
The Result
Chris Gutierrez def. Justin McNally via TKO (Knee to the Body and
Punches) R1 2:50

Primus rocked Jones with a grimey right
hand and didn't let up.
The southpaw Jones circles the perimeter of the cage, looking for
low kicks until launching a left roundhouse kick up top. Primus
blocks it and continues trudging forward, but he eats a jab. He
thinks better of the standup, charging in on a double-leg and
plopping Jones on his back. Jones upkicks furiously to keep Primus
out of his guard and cracks him with a hard heel kick that seems to
slow the man on top. Primus settles into guard and instantly goes
to work with rights and lefts. If he was hurt from the upkick, he's
quickly disregarded it, as the Sports Lab product unloads a torrent
of heavy right hands.
Jones is toast by the fifth right hand, but Primus gets a couple
more in before referee Kerry Hatley can rescue the Dallas fighter.
The Result
Brent Primus def. Chris Jones via TKO (Punches) R1 1:45

Alhassan brutally turned Jones' lights off.
Alhassan comes out whipping hard low kicks, then launches a flying
knee attempt. Jones tries for a single-leg takedown, but can't get
Alhassan down. Worse, the native Ghanian spins off the cage and
unloads with a flurry of punches. Jones is able to cover up from
most of them, but Alhassan is throwing heat. Jones tries to regain
his composure, taking the center of the cage probing with his lead
hand, but Alhassan is relentless. He rakes away with sharp left and
right hooks, smashing through Jones' high guard. Jones doesn't
circle away, so Alhassan throws a right hook, then a right uppercut
that splays Jones out on the mat.
Alhassan dives on top and hammers away while Jones half-consciously
tries to roll forward into a desperation takedown. He keeps
crushing him with punches under the armpit until his foe goes limp.
Alhassan ends up calling an end to the fight himself, backing away
from Jones, which finally prompts the intervention of referee Kerry
Hatley.
The Result
Abdul Razak Alhassan def. Matt Jones via TKO (Punches) R1

Round 1
Ayala rushes Prindle and pushes his back into the fence, both men
throwing knees to the body inside. They separate, Ayala cracks
Prindle with an overhand right and gets in on a single. He manages
to pull Prindle away from the fence, get him down and hop into side
control. Ayala punches with both hands as Prindle tries to kick him
away. Ayala bases down and settles in half guard and continues
chipping away with short punches and elbows, passing back to side
control. He figure-fours Prindle's right arm and looks for a
keylock, but can't lock the muscular heavyweight's arm up. When the
10-second clapper sounds, Ayala smashes away with a salvo of right
hands to punctuate the round.

Ayala busted up Prindle something serious.
The two heavyweights touch gloves to begin the round and Ayala
takes the center of the cage. Ayala shoots and takes Prindle down
less than 25 seconds into the frame. Prindle is trying to push off
the cage while Ayala lands short punches and knees to the body from
side control. Ayala continues to fire off right hands and now he's
trying to isolate Prindle's arm, but the American Soldier escapes
and they're back up. Ayala gets another relatively easy takedown
and now he's in half guard halfway through the period. Ayala steps
over into side control with little resistance from Prindle.
Ayala gets full mount and peppers Prindle with short lefts. Ayala
postures up and lands some methodical punches. Prindle isn't doing
much to escape from the bottom as Ayala traps Prindle's right wrist
from side control while dropping left hands. Ayala concludes the
frame dropping more punches from side control.

Round 3
Prindle's face is cut and badly swollen around the eyes as the
third round starts, prompting a quick check from the ringside
physician. Ayala starts the final frame with a cracking overhand
right, but throws it so hard he slips in front of Prindle, who
can't capitalize. The Porterville, Calif., native shoots another
single-leg takedown, but Prindle is able to sprawl and get back to
his feet this time. Prindle throws a pair of hooks, Ayala ducks
under and this time his single is successful. Ayala shucks
Prindle's legs by again, moving right into side mount and going to
work in the same fashion as the first two rounds. Prindle is
exhausted but so is Ayala, so the Californian just keeps plodding
away and threatening the keylock. Referee Kerry Hatley calls for
time and Prindle is wincing through his swollen right eye. He tells
Hatley, “He poked me,” and then gets another visit with the
ringside doctor. The doctor gives Prindle a vision test, holding up
three fingers. Prindle struggles to answer and the doc chuckles to
Hatley, “I don't think he can see.” Hatley then waves the fight on
the doctor's event.

Miller clips Coleman with a right cross as he's advancing, but
Coleman returns moments later with a short left hook that trips
Miller up a bit. The middleweights clinch and drive into the cage,
pummelling for underhooks. Miller tries to change levels and
narrowly avoids a big right uppercut from Coleman. Miller runs
forward into another takedown attempt and this time he does eat a
short right from Coleman before falling to the butt scoot. Miller
regains his feet, approaches Coleman, then desperately tries to
pull guard. Miller tries again in the same vein and fails and as
Coleman turns his back and walks away, Miller jumps up and runs him
into the fence. “The Crazy Cowboy” stuffs it, then beats Miller to
the mat with short punches. The Fort Worth, Texas, native falls to
his back and holds onto half guard. Coleman face cranks Miller and
passes into mount for a moment before Miller regains half guard.
Miller has absolutely no offense to speak of at this point. Coleman
keeps the pressure on with a crossface and lands short right hands.
Coleman tries to go for an arm-triangle choke but is nowhere near
it. However, Miller rolls and nearly gives up his back. Coleman
uses a half nelson to keep him on the mat and keeps smashing away.
Coleman gets a top crucifix for a moment and lands a stream of
punches before the bell.

Miller was no match for Coleman.
Miller reaches at Coleman with his arms out and eats a right
uppercut for his troubles. Miller awkwardly flicks his jab out and
walks into a left hand this time. Miller circles the outside
sheepishly, sticking his left arm out and praying for a takedown.
He tries to pull guard again and winds up getting hammered by
Coleman and conceding half guard again. Coleman slowly tries to
free himself from half guard while grinding with right elbows on
Miller. Coleman looks like he's going to pass to full mount, but
passes to side all the way on the farside, then gets another top
crucifix, but can't land many shots before Miller wriggles
free.
Miller turns his back again and once more Coleman uses the half
nelson to reaffirm top position and the Oklahoma native gets to
full mount with 45 seconds to work. Coleman postures up and tries
to punch through Miller's guard. Miller turns his back and Coleman
smashes away with right hands on his trapped and outmatched
opponent. Under heavy fire, Miller tells referee Don Turnage he
wants out and the referee obliges him.

Hale trudges forward cautiously on the stocky southpaw, who circles
around the cage. Hale attacks with a right hand, Ivanov fires back
and initiates an over-under clinch. For 90 seconds, they jockey for
position, thumping one another with body shots and knees until
Ivanov separates and cracks Hale with a left hook. Ivanov clinches
up again and tries to foot sweep Hale to the mat, but can't
connect. They separate again and Ivanov cracks Hale with a pair of
good hooks. He follows up with a right hook that stumbles the
Arizonian up, but Ivanov doesn't push the issue. They clinch once
more with no one gaining an advantage and separate with 10 seconds

vanov lands a lunging left but in his pursuit of Hale, walks into a
counte shot and hits a knee. The Bulgarian recovers by initiating
another clinch. Ivanov looks for an outside hip throw but can't
control Hale. Ivanov dashes across the cage with three wild left
hands. The first two miss, but somehow the third crushes Hale in
his beard and topples him to the ground. Ivanov is all over him,
unloading hammering left hands from half guard. Hale gets to the
turtle position, but Ivanov grabs a guillotine and runs him into
the cage. Ivanov controls Hale with the front headlock while
peppering him with more punches. Hale gets to his feet and is raked
by three more hooks before escaping to safety. After the near
finish, the pace slows considerably in the second half of the
round. Both heavyweights load up with wild overhands that sail
wide. With 20 seconds to spare in the round, Ivanov lands two

Ivanov throws two sloppy jabs and charges in behind them,
instigating another clinch in the middle of the cage. The Bulgarian
finally gets double underhooks but can't get the takedown, instead
opting to crack Hale with another left hook. He fires another but
can't get to Hale, who clinches. Ivanov finally tackles “Rare
Breed” to the mat, but nearly gets his back taken. He shakes the
bloodied Hale over the top and winds up on top in full guard. The
exhausted Ivanov tries to score with left hands and hammerfists but
can't do real damage to the battered Hale. Hale seeks to tie up
Ivanov's arms, but can't do a great job of that at this point. With
1:40 to fight, referee Dan Miragliotta stands them up. Hale tries
to rush Ivanov, but Ivanov simply clinches then disengages after
catching a breath. The final 30 seconds tick down with Ivanov
cautiously circling away from Hale, who hasn't got the ability to

Volkov advanced with a first-round stoppage.
Holota backs up Volkov with a punching combination and the two
heavyweights clinch against the fence. Volkov fires off knees to
the body and Holota answers with short uppercuts. The spindly
Russian continues to land knees before switching to short
left-handed punches. As Volkov continues to unload with short
shots, Holota looks like he wants absolutely no part of this fight
and just crumples to the canvas. Now on top, Volkov tees off with a
barrage of unanswered left hands. Holata turns over and appears to
have nothing less to offer, so referee Jason Herzog is forced to
intervene.

Johnson uncorked on Martinez.
Johnson begins by exploring the range with his left jab, but
Martinez marches him back with a right hand. Martinez flurries and
drives into a body lock, pressing Johnson's back to the cage.
Johnson turns him around but Martinez pulls off a nifty lateral
drop and claims half guard. Martinez crossfaces Johnson hard and
grinds his forearm into his face. Martinez flurries for a moment
but can't land with real substance. Sensing Martinez is tired,
Johnson backs him down with the long jab and heavy shots behind it.
Martinez gets sloppy in pursuit of ground and pound and Johnson
shrimps away, getting back to his feet.
Martinez walks himself back to the fence and the UFC and Strikforce
veteran unloads on him with both hands. A right hook to the body
bends Martinez over, a right uppercut rocks him worse and a left
hook puts him down on the mat. Johnson dives and follows up with
right hands and referee Dan Miragliotta is all over it.

Dantas switches stances while stalking Leone, checking him with a
front kick. Dantas tries a few jabs before whipping a right kick
that Leone catches. Leone tries to use his free hand to flurry on
Dantas, but misses nearly every punch. Nonetheless, Leone powers
through and gets the takedown into full guard. Dantas works an
active guard and looks for a pair of armbars, but the active Leone
keeps moving and stays out of danger. Dantas throws hammerfists
from the bottom while keeping his guard open, moving to butterfly
hooks and looking to attack Leone from the bottom. Leone keeps
swimming through Dantas' arms and staying out of danger but can't
muster much offense himself. With a minute to go in the round,
Leone finally starts to land short punches and elbows while slowing
Dantas' guard. Leone lands a good sharp left elbow before the

Dantas pulled off an amazing submission.
Both fighters more active with their jabs as round two begins, but
it remains a controlled pace. Dantas edges forward until Leone
attempts a punch rush and circles out. Dantas finally lands a
glancing left hook and attempts to follow with a flying knee. Leone
drives for a takedown and the champion defends capably and circles
off the fence. Dantas rips a body kick, then a low kick, but as he
throws the latter, Leone throws a left hook and knocks him off
balance. Leone doubles his wide right hook and hits nothing but
air.
Dantas isn't landing the hardest strikes, but he is effectively
keeping Leone on the outside. Leone throws a jab and a wild
spinning back fist that hit the air. A right hand and shot follow,
but Dantas shows incredible flexibility in limplegging out of a
high single, then spins out of the follow-up. He continues to spin
out of Leone's desperate attempts at his legs, as referee Jason
Herzog warns him not to grab the fence. Leone tries to grab his
ankle, and Dantas steps backwards over Leone's body and drops right
into back mount with Leone's left arm trapped -- an absolutely
breathtaking transition. A likely shellshocked Leone instantly
gives up the rear-naked choke and is forced to tap. Incredible
submission victory by the Bellator bantamweight champion.
