A lightweight bout is in the works for UFC 132 that will pit British fighter Andre Winner against Anthony Njokuani on July 2 in Las Vegas.
The bout was confirmed to MMAWeekly.com by sources close to the fight on Thursday.
Winner (11-5-1) is a former “Ultimate Fighter” finalist who will be looking to bounce back from back-to-back losses.
A dangerous striker who trains alongside heavy hitters like Paul Daley and Dan Hardy, Winner will face another stand-up expert when he returns to action in July.
Knockout artist Anthony Njokuani (13-5) comes back after a phenomenal fight against fellow striker Edson Barboza Jr. at UFC 128. While he may have come up short on the scorecards, Njokuani left New Jersey with nothing to be ashamed of after an incredible fight against the Brazilian prospect.
The bout between Njokuani and Winner will be part of the UFC 132 undercard going down in Las Vegas on July 2.
