All M-1 Challenge 27 Competitors On Weight

Only days after an injury to M-1 heavyweight champion Guram Gugenishvili altered the M-1 Challenge 27 main event, all 14 fighters competing on the card made their contracted weights.

Thursday’s weigh-ins saw new headliner Vinny Magalhaes tip the scales at 204 pounds for his inaugural light heavyweight title defense against Mikhail Zayats (205).

In light of Gugenishvili's injury, No. 1 contender Kenny Garner (255) will now lock horns with former title challenger Maxim Grishin (220) for the interim heavyweight title, which will presumably be unified once Gugenishvili recovers from a dislocated elbow sustained in training.

Also featuring a middleweight bout between Arthur Guseinov (185) and Eddie Arizmendi (186), as well a welterweight contest pitting Tom Gallicchio (170) against Daniel Madrid (165), the event goes down Friday evening from Grand Canyon University Arena in Phoenix.

Airing on Showtime at 11 p.m. ET, the evening's main card will also feature a 170-pound affair between Yasubey Enomoto (168) and Josh Thorpe (166).
