'UFC 205 Embedded,' No. 2: Last-minute preparation and media appearances

The week finally is here. The UFC heads to New York City for the first time this week for UFC 205, and the promotion is rolling out the “Embedded” treatment for a preview of Saturday’s pay-per-view event at Madison Square Garden.

There is a trio of title fights at the top of the six-fight main card. But most of the eyes are on the headliners. Lightweight champ Eddie Alvarez (28-4 MMA, 3-1 UFC) puts his belt on the line against featherweight champ Conor McGregor (20-3 MMA, 8-1 UFC), who will attempt to become the first concurrent two-division champion in UFC history.

In the co-feature, welterweight champ Tyron Woodley (16-3 MMA, 6-2 UFC) has his first title defense against Stephen Thompson (13-1 MMA, 8-1 UFC). And women’s strawweight champ Joanna Jedrzejczyk (12-0 MMA, 6-0 UFC) defends her title against fellow Poland native Karolina Kowalkiewicz (10-0 MMA, 3-0 UFC).

In the second episode, the fighters go through the motions for their final round of training before heading to New York. Woodley attends a St. Louis Blues hockey game with his title belt while Kowalkiewicz takes a tandem bike ride.
