An average of 2.5 million viewers tuned in for “The Ultimate Fighter” Season 14 finale on Saturday night, Spike TV officials announced Tuesday.

The Dec. 3 event featured a battle of coaches in the headliner, as Michael Bisping defeated Jason Miller in a middleweight affair. The three-hour telecast's peak viewership coincided with Bisping's third-round technical knockout of Miller, earning 3.4 million viewers at 10:30 p.m. ET.

In addition to the overall viewership figure, Spike TV officials also revealed that the program earned a household rating of 1.7, as well as ratings of 2.4 and 2.9 in the male 18-49 and 18-34 demographics, respectively. Spike TV also announced that the program was the highest-rated program on ad-supported cable for both of the aforementioned male demographics on Saturday.

Emanating from the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas, the event also featured the finals of the show's bantamweight and featherweight draws. Season 14 was the first installment of the series to feature 135- and 145-pound competitors. In the bantamweight finale, John Dodson made quick work of Team Alpha Male's T.J. Dillashaw, using his speed advantage to catch his larger opponent with a counter hook that led to ground-and-pound for the technical knockout.

Diego Brandao was victorious in the featherweight final, though the Brazilian was forced to overcome some serious adversity to take home the win. After flooring Dennis Bermudez in the early going, Brandao got a taste of his own medicine as Bermudez dropped him with a right straight before the Brazilian ended the bout with a textbook armbar from guard.

'TUF 14' will be the last season to air on Spike TV for the foreseeable future, as the program will be moved to FX in 2012 to coincide with the UFC's seven-year deal with Fox Networks.
