'Bellator 106: Rampage vs. Tito' tickets now on sale

tito-ortiz-25.jpgTickets for Bellator MMA’s first pay-per-view event, which features a headliner with two former UFC champions, are now on sale.

“Bellator 106: Rampage vs. Tito,” which features a light-heavyweight headliner between recent signees Quinton Jackson (32-11 MMA, 0-0 BMMA) and Tito Ortiz (16-11-1 MMA, 0-0 BMMA), takes place Nov. 2 at Long Beach Arena in California.

Tickets range from $40 to $250.

“To have two of the biggest names in MMA headline our first PPV is awesome,” Bellator Chairman and CEO Bjorn Rebney stated. “‘Rampage’ vs. Tito is a fight I’ve wanted to see for years, and to have it as our main event on our first pay-per-view is a spectacular next step in Bellator’s evolution. They’re both re-energized, excited and ready for a war. This will be a great fight.”

Bellator officials first announced the event earlier this week. Additional details, possibly including the PPV fee, will be unveiled during a Monday media call.

Ortiz retired after his most recent fight, a loss to Forrest Griffin a little more than a year ago at UFC 148. That same weekend, he was inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame. But lately, Ortiz has been teasing a possible comeback on Twitter, despite six losses in his past seven fights, and just a 2-7-1 mark in his past 10.

Jackson, also a former UFC light heavyweight champ, is a longtime friend and an occasional training partner of Ortiz’s. After a falling out with the UFC earlier this year following a three-fight losing skid, he ultimately signed with Bellator MMA in one of the organization’s highest-profile acquisitions.
