The fighters worked for position in the clinch with each landing knee strikes before it went to the mat. Musgrave worked strikes before being pushed off and Coyle scrambled to standing. Musgrave again got a takedown and spent the rest of the round working to improve his position while landing effective GNP. Round two had the fighters clinch early and off of the clinch Musgrave scored a takedown and worked relentlessly with strikes while Coyle scrambled to try to escape. Finally from the top Musgrave put together a series of brutal strikes and Coyle tapped out. The tapout win came for Musgrave at 3:40 of round two.
