Jose Borrego faced Tomas Mendez in his US debut. He fought not only to protect his undefeated record, but to leave a memorable mark for those watching on PBC on FS1. From the outset of the fight Borrego was easily finding a home for his punches. Mendez showed little head move movement and was getting caught by repeatedly with shots that clearly affected him. Mendez found himself staggering early, getting caught by right and left hooks to the head, but it was a left hook to the liver that send the veteran to the canvas.
