LAS VEGAS – Check out the video highlights as welterweight champion Rousimar Palhares earned a controversial submission victory over Jake Shields on Saturday in WSOF 22’s headliner.
The fight took place at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino and aired on NBCSN following prelims on MMAjunkie.
Palhares (18-6) defended his belt with a third-round stoppage of Shields (31-8-1). However, Shields said the Brazilian, who already has a checkered past in the cage, continually eye-gouged him and held on to the submission too long.
