Next week at UFC 168, Travis Browne may be fighting for a shot at the heavyweight title. To get to that point, he had to pull off one of the year’s more memorable comebacks and upsets.
Browne (15-1-1 MMA, 6-1-1 UFC), who meets fellow contender Josh Barnett (33-6 MMA, 5-1 UFC) on Dec. 28 at Las Vegas’ MGM Grand Garden Arena, has lost just once in the UFC: a first-round TKO to Antonio Silva after Browne fought through a tore hamstring. Since then, though, he’s won two straight, though no win was perhaps more impressive than his knockout of Alistair Overeem in August at UFC Fight Night 26.
