Video: Is this the fastest knockout in MMA heavyweight history?

The recent UCMMA 39 event had a really quick knockout – one that set a world record, according to the organization.

While it’s essentially impossible to know for sure where it ranks all-time (due to the sheer number of events – and lack of a true centralized database of results – worldwide), Marian Rusu‘s (4-4) quick flattening of Ben Schneider (1-6) is certainly impressive.

UCMMA President Dave O’Donnell, a former Cage Rage owner, clocks the knockout at 3.7 seconds (Sherdog’s Fight Finder officially logs it as four seconds).

UCMMA 39 took place May 3 in London. The European promotion launched in 2008 and has featured some familiar names, including current champs Neil Grove, Karlos Vemola and Cory Tait.
