So a week after what a ton of people considered a snoozefest in Floyd Mayweather vs. Manny Pacquiao, Saul “Canelo” Alvarez showed us what exciting boxing can look like.
Canelo fought James Kirkland in front of a baseball stadium full of spectators last night and put down a beating that rearranged poor Kirkland’s face to the point he looked like he got botched plastic surgery.
And now the boxing world awaits next week’s bout with Gennedy Golovkin and Willie Monroe Jr., in a fight errrbody wants to see Golovkin run through on his way to a potential meeting with Canelo. Possible fireworks, y’all.
