This weekend’s UFC 207 card is full of intriguing matchups, but there’s much on the line in the evening’s main event.

Sure the UFC women’s bantamweight title is enough to make the matchup between current champ Amanda Nunes (13-4 MMA, 6-1 UFC) and former title holder Ronda Rousey (12-1 MMA, 6-1 UFC) a key contest. But for Rousey, the contest also offers her a chance to re-establish herself as the best 135-pounder in the world, and perhaps the best pound-for-pound female fighter on the planet.

Nunes and Rousey meet at UFC 207, which takes place Friday at Las Vegas’ T-Mobile Arena and airs on pay-per-view. Ahead of that blockbuster fight card, take a look at the latest USA TODAY Sports/MMAjunkie rankings, where some big changes probably lie on the horizon after this weekend’s event.
