UFC's Khabib Nurmagomedov summons Mike Tyson for latest Twitter gold

Khabib Nurmagomedov’s Twitter account is an endless treasure trove of goodness. For his latest posting, he summoned Mike Tyson.

More specifically, the top UFC lightweight contender – or, perhaps, a clever mind in his management team – used some Photoshop skills to recreate a classic Instagram post.

This past year, former boxing great and UFC fan Tyson joined his friend, UFC President Dana White, on his private plane. It resulted in a classic video and the subsequent photo below:

That plane ride resulted in two of the most-read stories on MMAjunkie in 2014, all thanks to Tyson.

On Sunday Nurmagomedov, who’s likely just a victory away from a long-awaited title shot, posted the following (via Twitter):

Nurmagomedov (22-0 MMA, 6-0 UFC), who’s been sidelined since April 2014 due to a knee injury, returns May 23 to fight fellow contender Donald Cerrone (27-6 MMA, 14-3 UFC) at UFC 187 in Las Vegas. Nurmagomedov is ranked No. 2 and Cerrone is No. 4 in the USA TODAY Sports/MMAjunkie MMA lightweight rankings heading into the pay-per-view event.

White recently said the Nurmagomedov-Cerrone winner is likely up next for newly crowned lightweight titleholder Rafel dos Anjos (24-7 MMA, 12-5 UFC).
