UFC on Fuel TV 4 Averages 211,000 Viewers for Wednesday Night Broadcast

UFC on Fuel TV 4 averaged 211,000 viewers for its Wednesday night broadcast on the Fox-owned cable network, making it the promotion's second-highest rated event in the series to date.

Sherdog.com confirmed the viewership figure with an industry source on Thursday. UFC on Fuel TV 4 trails only the UFC's inaugural event on the channel, which netted an average of 217,000 viewers in February. Wednesday's show surpassed the second and third events on Fuel, which earned 197,000 and 173,000 viewers, respectively.

UFC on Fuel TV 4 was headlined by a pivotal middleweight confrontation between Chris Weidman and Mark Munoz and featured six fights in total. Weidman dominated his fellow NCAA Division I All-American wrestler in the main event, taking him down and controlling him in round one and then ending his night with a counter right elbow and ground-and-pound in the second frame.

The televised card also saw Aaron Simpson make a successful welterweight debut by outpointing Kenny Robertson, while James Te Huna fought through a broken hand and foot to spoil Joey Beltran's foray at 205 pounds. The main draw was immediately preceded by the preliminary card stream on Facebook, which was highlighted by a “Submission of the Night” winning performance from Alex Caceres, who ensnared Damacio Page in a triangle choke in the second round of their bantamweight collision.
