Official Call: Dustin Ortiz def. Ray Borg via split decision (28-29, 29-28, 29-28)

Dustin Ortiz:

“As soon as the round started, the gameplan went out the window and my natural instincts took over. He took my back faster than anyone I’ve ever seen and he’s very strong. He was able to take me down a few times, but he never did any damage. I controlled the fight and definitely feel that I did enough to win.”

Ray Borg:

“I thought I won the fight. I actually thought I won in all areas. I believe I out grappled him and out struck him. But I did the one thing you can’t do in this sport and leave it to the judges. No excuses. If people liked my debut, just wait till my next fight.”
