UFC on FX 5 Doesn’t Draw Big TV Ratings, but Gives TUF 16 a Boost

Travis Browne vs Antonio Bigfoot Silva UFC on FX 5Friday night’s UFC on FX 5: Browne vs. Bigfoot drew 1.1 million viewers, according to industry sources that verified the TV ratings to MMAWeekly.com.

That mark matches the lowest number of any UFC on FX event, but to put that in perspective, the high mark is 1.4 million. UFC live events on FX have been fairly consistent in the TV ratings they draw.

The 1.1 million viewers wasn’t a big number, but it did give a good boost to episode four of The Ultimate Fighter: Team Carwin vs. Team Nelson, which immediately followed the live event.

UFC on FX 5 featured a pivotal heavyweight showdown as its main event. Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva scored the first victory of his UFC career; quickly taking out Travis Browne after the Hawaiian injured his left hamstring.

UFC on FX 5 saw the promotion return to the Target Center in Minneapolis, Minn.

UFC on FX 3: 1.1 million viewers
UFC on FX 4: 1.3 million viewers
