UFC on FOX 19 results: John Dodson blows through Manny Gamburyan in 47 seconds

TAMPA, Fla. – John Dodson is a bantamweight once again, and he impressed in a big way in his return to 135 pounds, crushing Manny Gamburyan in less than a minute.

The bantamweight bout was part of the preliminary card of today’s UFC on FOX 19 event at Amalie Arena in Tampa, Fla. It streamed on UFC Fight Pass ahead of the rest of the card on FOX.

Dodson (18-7 MMA, 7-2 UFC) moved in quickly and landed three left hands that put Gamburyan (15-9 MMA, 6-7 UFC) on the defensive immediately. As Gamburyan attempted to regain his bearings, Dodson poured on lightning quick punches. It was only moments before the referee had to call an end to the halt, giving Dodson the victory at the 0:47 mark of Round 1.

Dodson rebounded from his loss to Demetrious Johnson in his most recent bout and remains perfect in the octagon outside of his two bouts with the flyweight champion. Gamburyan had a two-fight winning streak snapped.
