VEGAS – Thales Leites’ improbable second run in the UFC continued at UFC 183, as the Brazilian picked up his fifth consecutive win inside the octagon, finishing Tim Boetsch in the second round.
Leites (25-4 MMA, 10-3 UFC) had to struggle through a bit of danger against Boetsch (18-8 MMA, 9-7 UFC), including getting battered against the cage moments before the two went to the mat to set up the finish. Leites would fail to finish with an arm triangle choke before deciding to hop over to the over side, where he would put Boetsch to sleep with the same choke.
