UFC Fight Night 78 video highlights: Henry Cejudo vs. Jussier Formiga

Henry Cejudo and Jussier Formiga knew they were fighting at UFC Fight Night 78 for a potential future shot at UFC flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson. While Cejudo took the fight on the scorecards, his split decision victory didn’t seem to thrill the champion, who was shown laughing on the broadcast.

The flyweight bout was part of the main card of today’s UFC Fight Night 78 event at Monterrey Arena in Monterrey, Mexico. It aired on FOX Sports 1 following prelims on FOX Sports 1 and UFC Fight Pass.

Cejudo (10-0 MMA, 4-0 UFC) showcased impressive – and improved – striking throughout the bout, maintaining distance and winning the clinch battle against Formiga (18-4 MMA, 4-3 UFC). Despite seemingly cruising to a clear victory, the judges were split in the end, scoring the bout 30-27, 28-29 and 30-27.
