NATAL, Brazil – Sunday night’s UFC Fight Night 38 event drew an announced attendance of 6,828.
UFC executive Grace Tourinho announced the figure at the night’s post-event news conference, which MMAjunkie attended.
UFC Fight Night 38 took place at Ginasio Nelio Dias in Natal, Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil, and featured a light heavyweight rematch between Dan Henderson and Mauricio Rua in the FOX Sports 1-televised headliner.
In the main event, Henderson (30-11 MMA, 7-5 UFC) had a rough early go of it against Rua (22-9 MMA, 6-7 UFC)on Sunday night. But then in the third, he let go with his famous right hand to get a TKO stoppage. It was the ninth upset in 11 fights on the card.
