Round 1
Bowling connects with a right hook in the pocket and Trujillo
answers back with a right of his own which backs Bowling away. The
Strikeforce vet comes forward and whacks Trujillo with another pair
of punches, then keeps dipping in and out of range to strike with
straight shots. Trujillo sticks a jab and steps off, repeats and
misses with a left hook. The next left from Trujillo lands on
Bowling’s chin, so Bowling opens up with a combo before shooting on
Trujillo’s legs. He lifts Trujillo into the air and tries for a
hard slam, but Trujillo is able to break his fall and then scramble
back up the fence. Bowling connects with a right hand to the body;
Trujillo gives him back a knee to the breadbasket. Trujillo charges
inside with a combination; he doesn’t land any big punches, but he
does manage to take Bowling’s back and drag him to the floor.
Trujillo moves to side control, leaning right to left across
Bowling in the center of the cage. Bowling stands up, but Trujillo
maintains back control and uses it to land punches, knees and then
another takedown. Bowling tries a guillotine as he’s taken down;
referee Rob Hinds puts his hands on the fighters, perhaps thinking
he saw a tap, but they keep fighting and Trujillo escapes. With 15
seconds left, Bowling tries another guillotine; Trujillo escapes
this one, too, and scrambles to his feet to finish the round with
two punches and a knee.

Jordan Breen scores the round 10-9 Trujillo
TJ De Santis scores the round 10-9 Bowling
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 Trujillo
Round 2
Trujillo stays on the outside through the opening 45 seconds,
trying to snipe at Bowling with jabs. Bowling shoots in and puts
Trujillo on the fence with a single-leg that he can’t finish, and
Trujillo punishes him for the takedown attempt with a flurry of
punches. Bowling splits Trujillo’s guard with a jab, then slaps
outside with a loud leg kick. Wide punches miss for Trujillo as he
briefly leans Bowling against the cage. Bowling shoves him off and
sticks punches in the face of Trujillo, who seems to be slowing
with each punch thrown. They get into a firefight on the fence with
both men landing heavy punches, but Bowling takes advantage with a
takedown. They stand with just over 90 seconds left and Bowling
cracks Trujillo with a lovely left hook. Trujillo is still throwing
hands, sticking his jab in Bowling’s face until Bowling hits
another takedown at the base of the fence. Bowling jumps on top and
tries for a rear-naked choke, but Trujillo gives a thumbs-up and
pulls his head free. Trujillo stands and drills the still-kneeling
Bowling with a knee to the chest, then one to the head and a right
hand to the face. The second knee is clearly illegal, and ref Hinds
deducts one point from Trujillo. The physician tells Hinds that
Bowling was knocked out by the strikes, meaning he cannot come back
to fight.
The Result
Roger Bowling vs. Abel Trujillo declared No Contest (Illegal Knee
to the Head) R2 4:57
Round 1
Cummings shoots a single-leg, gets shoved to the ground and comes
back with a double that puts Alloway on the cage. Alloway threatens
with a guillotine as he defends the takedown, but Cumming pops free
and gets the takedown on the third try. It’s only a few seconds
before Alloway works back to his feet and circles off the cage. The
welterweights get in close range and Cummings scores with a couple
shorts right hands before shooting another double. Alloway stands
him up and uses an underhook to defend the takedown, moving around
the outside of the cage while Cummings keeps digging. Cummings
finally gets the takedown, pulls his head free from a guillotine
and tries a brabo/D’Arce choke. Cummings adjusts his grip and puts
his weight on top, forcing Alloway to tap out.
The Result
Zak Cummings def. Ben Alloway via Submission (Brabo Choke) R1

Round 1
After a half minute of tentative pawing, Head steps into range and
High immediately changes levels for a takedown. High postures up in
half guard, then stands and dives back down with a left hand. The
“Kansas City Bandit” grabs a guillotine and rolls to full mount.
Head bucks him off, but High keeps hold of the neck and goes back
to full mount to force the tap.
The Result
Jason High def. James Head via Submission (Guillotine Choke) R1

Round 1
Elkins swings long left hands at Hioki as the taller man looks to
step inside and strike. Hioki takes 45 seconds but eventually does
find his range and smack Elkins with a combo and a leg kick. Elkins
responds with a left hook, misses with a straight right to the
body. Good right hand from Elkins as he moves Elkins toward the
fence. Hioki comes right back with a hook and a knee, but the
former Shooto champ is now leaking blood from the inside corner of
his right eye. Elkins circles to his right as Hioki gives chase
with front kicks, punches and knees. A single-leg attempt from
Elkins is stuffed by Hioki, who pushes the wrestler away with a
knee to the gut. Hioki sticks a straight right and slips out;
Elkins lands a right of his own that causes Hioki to shrug his arms
and smile. A kick to the body hurts Elkins, and Hioki tries to
capitalize with more strikes but settles for top position on the
ground. Elkins sits up and Hioki grabs for a heel hook which allows
Elkins to scramble up. Elkins gets a takedown, but Hioki traps
Elkins’ right arm between his legs and finishes the ground with
short punches.

Round 2
Hioki hits another takedown inside the first minute, but Elkins is
able to quickly escape to his feet. The American has blood
trickling from his nose as they resume striking and Hioki drills
him with a knee to the breadbasket. Hioki scores with a hook and
slips out before Elkins can score with his counters. Hioki keeps
the front kicks to the body coming, mixing in a leg kick here and
there. Elkins scores a takedown midway through the fight and Hioki
scoots backward to put his back on the cage. Elkins tries to take
the back of Hioki, who can’t escape from trouble as he rolls
through he winds up in the same position as he started. The
featherweights are back on their feet with 90 seconds left, Elkins
still holding on to Hioki’s waist and throwing knees to the thigh.
Hioki drops to the ground and takes Elkins’ back in one motion,
then instantly begins hunting for a rear-naked choke. Elkins denies
this and the triangle attempt behind it to wind up on top at the
horn.

Round 3
Elkins opens the final round with a good right hook up top. His
follow-up combinations mostly go off Hioki’s arms or chest, so the
local favorite shoots and hits another takedown about one minute
in. Hioki keeps an open guard, looking to creep his legs up as he
controls Elkins’ right hand. Elkins pulls his hand free and scores
with some solid ground-and-pound as Hioki leans back and draws a
deep breath. Hioki grabs Elkins’ left arm, so Elkins gets busy with
his right, throwing to Hioki’s head and body. Hioki isn’t offering
much from his back in the last minute, just clinging to Elkins’ arm
while Elkins punches sporadically with his free hand.

Edwards moves in to clinch behind some punches but winds up in an
exchange with Thatch, who drops “Fast Eddy” with a right high kick.
Edwards gets back to his feet, but Thatch is all over him, working
the Jorge Gurgel protégé with knees, kicks and uppercuts as they
fight along the fence. Edwards hits the grounds, gets back up and
goes down again. This time, Thatch doesn’t let up, pounding on his
kneeling opponent with punches until referee Rob Hinds
intervenes.

Round 1
Andrews probes the range with his lead hand while the southpaw
Abedi stalks from the center of the Octagon. A couple hard leg
kicks land for Abedi as the “Villain” switches stances, then goes
back to orthodox. Abedi closes in after 90 seconds and presses
Andrews against the fence, then grabs a single-leg and slams
Andrews to the floor. With Abedi in side control, Andrews grabs an
underhook and uses it to stand, then takes down Abedi. They
scramble back up and Abedi holds Andrews on the cage until he can
hit an inside trip, landing in Andrews’ open guard. Sitting up in
Andrews’ half-guard, Abedi tries a guillotine that doesn’t stick,
then switches to dropping elbows on Andrews’ face. Abedi stands and
goes for another guillotine, but Andrews slips this one, too, and
stands to put Abedi on the cage. Andrews tries a throw but Abedi
lands on top with a whizzer. Andrews drives forward on a single-leg
and completes it to finish the round in side control.

Round 2
It’s a slow opening minute to round two, as Abedi lands a leg kick
and Andrews a right hand, followed by a couple low kicks. Abedi is
swinging murderous left hands but pulling up short, while Andrews
picks his shots and flicks out jabs. Halfway through the round,
Andrews hits a takedown, but Abedi is back on his feet immediately.
Abedi staggers Andrews with a hook and pushes him to the canvas,
then begins dropping punches and elbows from half guard. A pair of
hard knees to the body appear to hurt Andrews, but he pushes
forward and stands by driving on a single-leg. Andrews finishes the
round holding Abedi against the fence.

Round 3
Andrews catches the incoming Abedi with a right hand, but Abedi
pushes through it to hold Andrews against the fence with an
underhook. Ref Herb Dean quickly warns the middleweights to get
busy; they don’t, so Dean breaks them up with just under four
minutes remaining. Abedi tries to clinch and gets slugged with an
uppercut. Andrews clips him with another punch as Abedi shoots in,
sending Abedi to the ground face-first. A couple more punches from
Andrews dribble the head of the dazed Abedi, forcing referee Dean
into action.
The Result
Dylan Andrews def. Papy Abedi via KO (Punches) R3 1:32

Tavares strikes first with a pair of strong outside leg kicks, then
makes McDaniel whiff on a high kick. McDaniel takes a couple more
kicks before deciding to put Tavares on the cage. Tavares shoves
McDaniel’s head away and escapes to resume his leg-kicking. Another
kick puts an off-balance McDaniel on his back, but Tavares allows
him to stand back up. McDaniel tries to clinch up with underhooks,
gets stuffed and keeps pushing to put Tavares on the cage. A knee
from McDaniel strays low, but Tavares is alright and they continue
after resetting away from the fence. McDaniel’s right thigh is
already reddened from leg kicks, so he tries to use his left to
kick at Tavares’ knee. They clinch up and Tavares takes the outside
position, then releases and finishes round one with a kick to
McDaniel’s ribs.

hand that momentarily sends McDaniel to the ground. McDaniel takes
a hard kick to the body, then rushes through a combination from
Tavares to trip the Hawaiian to the floor. Tavares is soon back on
his feet; McDaniel tries to keep him on the fence and gets shoved
halfway across the cage. More kicks come from Tavares in the middle
of the round, to McDaniel’s head and body both. McDaniel is keeping
his distance and getting kicked away when he tries to step in. He
goes to clinch and winds up underneath Tavares, who stands back up
and kicks at the legs of his prone opponent. Ref Dan Miragliotta
orders McDaniel back up with 15 seconds left, and the middleweights

kick straight on McDaniel’s cup, sending “Bubba” to the ground in
agony. McDaniel only needs a few seconds to recover, though, and
the 185ers are quickly back to trading strikes. McDaniel hits a
double-leg with just over three minutes on the clock and lands in
half-guard on Tavares’ right side. McDaniel is working to isolate
the right arm of Tavares, while Tavares does the same to McDaniel
from underneath. McDaniel tries to takes the back of Tavares and

Mizugaki lunges forward with a left hand and takes one in return
from “Goyito.” The next pair of wide punches from Mizugaki misses,
and Perez clips him with a counter right. The bantamweights are
just bombing one another with punches, and now Perez leaps to
connect with a flying knee as Mizugaki counters with a left.
Mizugaki comes under a combo from Perez to score with a right, then
Perez hits a double-leg against the cage to slow the furious pace
after about two minutes. Perez is bleeding from his nose as he
works to keep Mizugaki on the ground. He can’t, but shortly after
Mizugaki gets to his feet, Perez takes him back down. The sequence
repeats: Perez repeatedly pulling Mizugaki to the floor, and
Mizugaki continually working to stand. With one minute left,
Mizugaki gets off the fence and slams Perez down with a huge
double-leg of his own. Perez stands and turns Mizugaki around to
land a knee to the body, then picks the Japanese fighter’s ankle
for one last takedown at the end of the round.

right-handed counters. Mizugaki lands a straight right that begins
a furious exchange with both men swinging away. Perez changes
levels for a takedown try and gets shoved away. Mizugaki is waiting
with a knee for Perez the next time Goyito comes in to shoot. Perez
is bleeding from his nose as Mizugaki swings a right hook to his
gut. Halfway through the bout now, and Mizugaki is beginning to
light up Perez with counterpunches. He shuts down another shot from
Perez, whose bloody nose is worsening as the round continues. A
straight right down the pipe from Mizugaki cuts off a kick from

Mizugaki cuts off Perez with a counter left in the opening exchange
of the final round. Perez is still swinging, but missing from a
distance with wide hooks now. Mizugaki changes levels for a
takedown, but Perez is right back up and peeling off Mizugaki’s
hands to prevent him from keeping back control. After 90 seconds,
Perez shoots and finishes a double-leg on the fence, but Mizugaki
gets to his knees and then his feet, where he hits a body-lock
takedown to side control. Perez puts him back in guard and tries to
control Mizugaki’s right wrist. Mizugaki pulls his hands free and
tries to secure Perez’s back. Mizugaki sinks in a rear-naked choke;
it’s deep under Perez’s chin, but Perez somehow twists his head
free and reverses position by driving on a double. With 70 seconds
left and Perez just holding Mizugaki on the fence, ref Gary
Copeland tells the bantamweights to get busy. Mizugaki gets back up

McGee comes out aggressive, first throwing heavy punches and then
trying to press Whittaker against the fence. Whittaker pushes off,
but McGee gives chase and clips him with a right hand. McGee scores
with some good leg kicks before Whittaker figures it out and
counters with a hard right straight. Another right hand grazes as
McGee ducks out of the way. Whittaker is finding a home for that
right-hand counter in the middle of the round. He touches McGee
with a left hook as the American tries to shoot in. McGee is
sporting a small cut on the left side of his hairline as he shoots
in and completes a takedown. Whittaker is right back up, and now
the cut on McGee’s temple has worsened, with streaks of blood
running down the side of his face, though away from his eye.

McGee is on the charge again in round two, walking Whittaker toward
the fence and having a shot denied. A stiff left from McGee stuns
Whittaker for a moment, but the youngster stays standing to eat
another hook on the chin. McGee puts Whittaker on the fence and
scores with elbows inside before releasing. A double-leg from McGee
nearly finds him taking Whittaker’s back, but Whittaker stands up
and glances at the clock as he resets. Whittaker’s output has
slowed as he watches McGee and waits to counter. McGee, meanwhile,
slaps at his opponent with kicks before shooting in and having
another takedown stuffed. The “Crusher” is sporting another cut
now, this one beneath his right eye. Whittaker connects with a
standing elbow and loops a left hook around McGee’s low guard. Good
counter work from Whittaker inside the final minute, picking at
McGee in between leg kicks and nearly connecting with a right high

Round 3
Whittaker is looking for standing elbows in the opening moments of
the final round, diving after McGee, who backs him off with a
spinning back-kick to the body. A leg kick inside is followed by a
hard left from McGee that buckles the legs of Whittaker for a
moment. Whittaker is sporting some red around his left eye as the
welterweights continue throwing hands. Whittaker sticks a couple
stiff jabs in McGee’s face. McGee gets in the pocket and roughs up
Whittaker with some punches inside, then takes an elbow on the
cheek. Whittaker is moving with his mouth wide open as McGee walks
him down, throwing constant combinations but only seeming to land
with about one-third of his punches. Whittaker keeps looking for
elbows over the top, but McGee is simply overwhelming him with
volume. A left hook in the closing seconds of the round stops

Dos Anjos takes the center of the cage and throws kicks at
Cerrone’s lead leg before sending a straight left down the pipe.
Cerrone backs him off with a front kick and circles
counterclockwise as the lightweights continue feeling out the
range. “Cowboy” comes off the fence with an uppercut that misses
and a knee to the body that does not. They continue feeling one
another out, Cerrone keeping dos Anjos at bay with kicks until the
Brazilian comes in and melts Cerrone with a big right hook. Cerrone
recovers and throws up a triangle from his back, but dos Anjos gets
out and nearly takes Cerrone’s back in a scramble. They wind up on
the ground with Cerrone keeping an active guard and dos Anjos
trying to pass to side control. Dos Anjos winds up in Cerrone’s

stalemate and dos Anjos scrambles up to shoot a high double-leg.
Cerrone widens his base against the fence to defend and pushes off
dos Anjos with a knee. Dos Anjos scores with a good left down the

a flying knee that comes up short. A left straight lands for dos
Anjos, answered by a straight shot to the body from Cerrone. Dos
Anjos shoots on Cerrone’s legs and gets stood up against the fence.
The lightweights separate and Cerrone has opened up a small cut on
the corner of dos Anjos’ left eye with a knee. Cerrone sprawls on a
double with 90 seconds left and then walks forward on dos Anjos
with teep kicks and jabs. Dos Anjos catches a kick, misses with a
counter punch and eats a right from Cerrone. Now it’s Cerrone’s

Kampmann shoots immediately for a single-leg, then wraps up
Condit’s body and trips him down along the fence. Condit twists
underneath and tries to walk off the fence, but he winds up back
where he started, with Kampmann in his guard. Kampmann stands and
throws punches which Condit is able to deflect. Kampmann tries to
take Condit’s back but only manages to sink in one hook before
Condit slips free and takes top position. Kampmann works his way
back up after absorbing an elbow and puts Condit back on the fence.
The welterweights jockey for position, Condit landing body shots
and a knee inside. Kampmann hits another takedown with 1:45 left in
what has been an up-and-down opening round. Condit slaps at the
side of Kampmann’s head as the “Hitman” works to advance. Condit

takedown attempt from Kampmann is stuffed, too, and Condit lands
his cleanest offense yet with a one-two up top. Kampmann goes after
another takedown, can’t get it, and Condit scores with another
combo. Kampmann charges forward and runs into a pair of right hooks
which redden his face. Condit is stringing it together now, mixing
up punching combinations with leg kicks and jabs. Kampmann wants a
takedown and puts Condit on the fence again, but Condit slips out

Kampmann elevates and plants Condit on the ground near the fence.
Condit posts up and stands, then turns Kampmann around and
separates. A leaping right hook connects for Condit, followed by a
leg kick inside and a left high kick. A pair of long, straight
punches from Condit rocks Kampmann’s head and opens up another cut
between the Dane’s eyes. More straight punches land on Kampmann’s
face, which is now streaked with blood. Kampmann tries to clinch
up, so Condit sends hooks around the outside. Left hook, right
straight, and another right straight from Condit sends Kampmann
stumbling backward into the cage. Kampmann is still bouncing on his
toes as he circles the outside, but Condit is just lighting him up
in the exchanges now. Kampmann pushes Condit against the cage, so
Condit tries a standing power guillotine. Kampmann slips out of
this and falls to the ground, so Condit gives chase and tries a
