UFC Fight Night 102 staff picks: The most lopsided main card in our picking history in Albany

We’re in for back-to-back UFC shows this week, and the first of them, on Friday in New York, is the most lopsided main card in the history of of our staff picks.

We have three unanimous picks in the four fights on the main card, and just one brave soul had the courage to go against the grain in the fourth fight – making the opener a 9-1 rout.

UFC Fight Night 102 takes place Friday at Times Union Center in Albany, N.Y. The entire card streams on UFC Fight Pass.

In the main event, Derrick Lewis (16-4 MMA, 7-2 UFC) meets Shamil Abdurakhimov (17-3 MMA, 2-1 UFC) in a heavyweight headliner. All 10 of our MMAjunkie editors, writers and radio hosts picked Lewis, who is a 2-1 betting favorite and has won four straight fights, including three by knockout.

In the co-feature, Francis Ngannou (8-1 MMA, 3-0 UFC) is the card’s heaviest favorite in his heavyweight bout against Anthony Hamilton (15-5 MMA, 3-3 UFC), and all 10 of our crew members are going with the France-based Cameroonian.

Also on the main card, Corey Anderson (8-2 MMA, 5-2 UFC) meets Sean O'Connell (17-8 MMA, 2-4 UFC) at light heavyweight. Anderson is a 4-1 favorite and has a 10-0 nod from our staff.

The only fight that isn’t unanimous is the main-card opener, a light heavyweight fight between Gian Villante (14-7 MMA, 4-3 UFC) and late replacement Saparbek Safarov (8-0 MMA, 0-0 UFC), who will be making his UFC debut. Nine of our 10 are taking Villante, a New Yorker, in his home state.
