SAO PAULO – UFC 205 official fighter weigh-ins took place today, and MMAjunkie was on scene for what turned out to be a rather routine affair.
The official weigh-ins took place in the America do Norte room of the Renaissance Sao Paulo Hotel. They preceded this afternoon’s ceremonial weigh-ins, which take place at Ibirapuera Gymnasium.
Headliners Ryan Bader (21-5 MMA, 14-5 UFC) and Antonio Rogerio Nogueira (22-7 MMA, 5-4 UFC) were among the final fighters to hit the scales, but both made weight without issue. In fact, all 24 fighters on the card made their contests official within the first hour of the allotted two-hour window.
Additionally, Thiago Alves (21-10 MMA, 13-7 UFC) missed weight in his first try at making lightweight, and it forced Jim Miller (27-8 MMA, 16-7 UFC) to add weight before hitting the scale.
