Krzysztof Jotko showcased high-level grappling skills during a three round thrashing of Thales Leites.
The middleweight bout was part of the main card of today’s UFC Fight Night 100 event at Ibirapuera Gymnasium in Sao Paulo. It aired on FS1 following early prelims on UFC Fight Pass.
Jotko (19-1 MMA, 6-1 UFC) played into what many considered Leites’ (26-7 MMA, 11-5 UFC) strengths by going for takedowns repeatedly. However, Leites had no answer for Jotko’s smothering and brutal top game. By the end of the fight, Leites was pouring blood from his mouth after eating multiple big elbows from Jotko.
The judges appreciated Jotko’s dominance, awarding him the fight by scores of 29-27, 30-27 and 30-27.
