UFC Dublin Sold Out Within a Matter of Hours

Conor McGregor Poster Winner-478x270If you’re going to be in Dublin on July 19 and want to see Ireland’s own Conor McGregor step back in the Octagon, you may be out of luck if you didn’t already get a ticket. The event is sold out.

UFC officials said that all the tickets for the July 19 event at The O2 arena were gone within the first couple hours of going on sale.

“The UFC is delighted to have sold out its eagerly anticipated return to Dublin on July 19th. All tickets were sold within the first couple of hours,” read an official statement from the promotion.

McGregor makes his return to the Octagon following near-year-long layoff. The Irishman suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his fight with Max Holloway last year. Following surgery and an extended recovery, McGregor headlines the card against Diego Brandao.

Brandao is a recent replacement for McGregor’s original opponent Cole Miller, whom McGregor had built up quite the verbal feud.

Feud or not, McGregor’s drawing power and the hunger of the Irish fans for a UFC event was enough to snag up all the tickets straight away.
