Take a look back at this past weekend’s UFC 189 blockbuster event in Las Vegas with an Instagram compilation of the show’s top sights and sounds.
UFC 189 took place at MGM Grand Garden Arena and aired on pay-per-view following prelims on FOX Sports 1 and UFC Fight Pass.
On a card that got progressively more awesome as the night wore on, an interim featherweight champion was crowned when Conor McGregor (18-2 MMA, 6-0 UFC) scored a second-round TKO victory over Chad Mendes (17-3 MMA, 8-3 UFC). Additionally, in the co-headliner, fans were treated to a “Fight of the Year” contender when welterweight champion Robbie Lawler (26-10 MMA, 11-4 UFC) scored a grueling, fifth-round victory over challenger Rory MacDonald (18-3 MMA, 9-3 UFC).
With McGregor in the headliner, Irish fans invaded for Vegas for the annual UFC International Fight Week.
