Official fighter weigh-ins for UFC 164, the promotion’s second pay-per-view this month, are set for Aug. 30 at Bradley Center in Milwaukee.
The same venue then hosts the following night’s UFC 164 card, which features a main-event lightweight title fight between champion Benson Henderson (18-2 MMA, 7-0 UFC) and Milwaukee native and resident Anthony Pettis (16-2 MMA, 3-1 UFC). In the co-main event, heavyweight Josh Barnett (32-6 MMA, 4-1 UFC) returns to the UFC for the first time since 2002 when he meets Frank Mir (16-7 MMA, 14-7 UFC). And at featherweight, Chad Mendes (14-1 MMA, 5-1 UFC) takes on Clay Guida (30-13 MMA, 10-7 UFC), whose hometown of Round Lake, Ill., is just an hour from Milwaukee.
The UFC 164 main card airs on pay-per-view following prelims on FOX Sports 1 and Facebook. The event’s main sponsor is Milwaukee’s Harley-Davidson, which is celebrating its 110th anniversary in conjunction with the event.
The first fighter steps on the scale at 4 p.m. CT local time, and doors open to the public at 3 p.m. The weigh-ins are free and open to the public.
Prior to the weigh-ins, UFC Fight Club members are invited to a two-fighter Q&A session with heavyweight contender Daniel Cormier and bantamweight contender Urijah Faber. Cormier in October fights Roy Nelson at UFC 166 in Houston. Faber is coming off a win this past Saturday against Iuri Alcantara.
Doors for the Q&A open to Fight Club members at 1 p.m. CT with the Q&A taking place at 2 p.m. CT.
