The Ultimate Fighting Championship handed out $70,000 bonus checks for in-Octagon performances following UFC 146: Dos Santos vs. Mir at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Saturday.

There were two Knockout of the Night awards given and two Submission of the Night bonuses granted with no Fight of the Night.Β  Stefan Struve, Paul Sass, Dan Hardy and Roy Nelson banked the bonus cash.

The Knockout of the Night awards went to Dan Hardy and Roy Nelson.

Hardy was coming off four losses in a row and was in a desperate need of a win and he delivered with a lead left hand knockout of Duane β€œBang” Ludwig in preliminary action that aired on FX.

Roy Nelson landed a thunderous right hand that put down Dave Herman on the main card which aired on pay-per-view.

Submission of the Night honors went to Paul Sass and Stefan Struve.

Sass submitted Jacob Volkmann by a triangle choke/arm bar combination in the first round of their preliminary bout that streamed live on Facebook.

Lavar Johnson looked to have Stefan Struve exactly where he wanted him when Struve pulled guard and locked on an arm bar to kick off the pay-per-view portion of the UFC 146 fight card.

Total bonus money given out for UFC 146: Dos Santos vs. Mir totaled $280,000.
