Twitter reactions: Fellow fighters react to UFC champ Jon Jones' failed drug test

From sympathy to outrage to glee, UFC and other MMA fighters had a variety reactions to today’s news that UFC light-heavyweight champion Jon Jones failed a drug test.

As MMAjunkie reported earlier this today, Jones failed an out-of-competition drug test prior to UFC 182 due to benzoylecgonine, the primary metabolite of cocaine. Jones has since entered rehab, a decision UFC President Dana White said he’s “proud” of.

Despite test results being available prior to this past weekend’s UFC 182 headliner, which aired Jan. 3 on pay-per-view from Las Vegas’ MGM Grand Garden Arena, Jones (21-1 MMA, 15-1 UFC) was permitted to fight. He ultimately notched his eighth consecutive title defense and earned a unanimous-decision victory over rival Daniel Cormier (15-1 MMA, 4-1 UFC).
