Just a few short months ago, Tito Ortiz was being written off by most of us, almost as an afterthought. But now, after running rough shod over Ryan Bader at UFC 132 – a fight that could have signaled the end of Ortiz’s career – and accepting a rematch against Rashad Evans to headline UFC 133 in Philadelphia, what was old is new again.
Ortiz went from being a nobody in the sport with no expectations to becoming a UFC champion. Lately, he has fallen back to the depths of little expectation. Well, that is before he choked out Bader. Now he’s on a Cinderella run trying to fight his way back to the top of the heap.
