Titan Fighting Main Event Set with 195lb Bout with Anthony Johnson vs. David Branch

Former UFC fighters Anthony Johnson and David Branch will meet on Friday night in the main event of Titan Fighting Championships 22, but the weigh-ins happened on Thursday with quite a stir afterwards.

Reports began to surface early Thursday that Anthony Johnson, who has notoriously had weight cutting issues in the past, missed the cut off for his fight with Branch once again.

The fight was originally billed as a middleweight main event, but according to Branch’s manager Ali Abdel-Aziz the fight was agreed for a 195-lb catchweight fight.

“Both of them made weight, they agreed to fight at 195lbs,” Abdel-Aziz told MMAWeekly.com on Thursday. “This is going to be an amazing fight.”

Johnson hit the scales and came in at 194.2lbs while Branch weighed in at 189.2.

The fight between Johnson and Branch headlines the Titan Fighting card that will air on HDNet on Friday night.
