Three vehicles set on fire in former UFC champ Anthony Pettis' Milwaukee driveway

Just hours after Anthony Pettis’ next fight was announced against Max Holloway at UFC 206, the former UFC lightweight champion had several of his vehicles set ablaze while they sat in his driveway.

According to a report from FOX6 News in Pettis’ hometown of Milwaukee, Wis., which was later confirmed to MMAjunkie through Pettis’ representatives, a vehicle was seen speeding away from the fighter’s house around 1:00 a.m. local time on Thursday, leaving a swarm of flames behind.

Those flames came from the vehicles located in Pettis’ driveway, three of which were reportedly consumed by fire.

“I saw a car speeding through the neighborhood,” Carson Blaszak, a witness to the fire, told FOX6 News. “Right around the same time as that happened, there was kind of a large bang. It was three cars caught on fire. I just, I ran outside, and I was hoping, you know, the house hopefully wasn’t gonna catch on fire.”

Apparently the police and fire departments were able to arrive quickly on the scene to control the fire before it reached Pettis’ house. Milwaukee police reportedly believe an unknown suspect “used an accelerant to ignite two of the vehicles which forced flames to spread to a third vehicle.”

In his second bout since dropping to the featherweight division, Pettis (19-5 MMA, 6-4 UFC), who meets Holloway (16-3 MMA, 12-3 UFC) at UFC 206 in Dec. 10 at Air Canada Centre in Toronto, is declining to speak publicly regarding the situation.

Milwaukee police are asking anyone with information regarding the incident to contact them immediately at 414-935-7360.
