Three More Fights Added to the ONE FC: Warrior Spirit Fight Card

One FC 12 Warrior Spirit PosterThree more fights were recently added to the ONE FC: Warrior Spirit fight card, including a middleweight match-up between French Pancrase veteran Bryan Rafiq (8-2) and Brazilian Leandro Ataides (5-0).

Ataides is a three-time world champion in BJJ, who holds a black belt and has also won competitions at a national and continental level. He joined Evolve MMA in Singapore earlier this year and will be fighting in Asia for the first time after competing exclusively in his native Brazil.

His opponent is a seasoned French veteran who has fought in South America, North America and Asia. Rafiq is a veteran of Japanese promotions MARS and Pancrase and has a notable win over former Legend FC welterweight champion Bae Myung Ho on his record.

The event is set for Nov. 15 at Stadium Putra in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and will be headlined by a welterweight world title fight between Adam Kayoom and Nobutatsu Suzuki. It will also see the return to action of top Malaysian lightweight Peter Davis (6-3), who will be looking to rebound from back to back defeats against Egyptian Wushu champion Alaa Mazloum (1-0).

The other fight to be announced sees Malaysian Muay Thai fighter Saiful Merican (1-1) looking to build on his recent decision win over previously undefeated Indian Aditya Deshpande at the Malaysian Invasion Finale when he takes on Cambodian stand up specialist Tork Sophon (2-0).

There are currently eight fights confirmed for ONE FC: Warrior Spirit, with two more likely to be announced next week. It will be the promotion’s third event in Malaysia. As always the main card will be shown live all over Asia by Star Sports and is available to purchase online for 9.99 USD.
