Strikeforce Rousey vs. Kaufman Drug Tests Deemed Invalid


Ronda Rousey vs. Sarah Kaufman - StrikeforceThe California State Athletic Commission on Monday informed MMAWeekly.com that the drug test results for Strikeforce: Rousey vs. Kaufman have been deemed invalid.

No explanation as to why the drug test results were deemed invalid was forthcoming from CSAC officials, who told MMAWeekly.com, “We have no additional information.”

Marc Ratner, the UFC Vice President of Regulatory Affairs, told MMAFighting.com that there was “something wrong with the collection method,” but that the “fighters in good conscience gave their specimens.”

Strikeforce: Rousey vs. Kaufman took place Aug. 18 at the Valley View Casino Center in San Diego, Calif.

Strikeforce bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey continued her armbar streak, as well as her unbeaten streak, finishing top contender Sarah Kaufman via an armbar in 54 seconds of the opening round.

Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza set himself up for another run at a middleweight title shot with his 41-second knockout of Derek Brunson.
