SFL 1 Weigh-in Results and Video – Bob Sapp vs. James Thompson

Bobb Sapp at HERO's 2

American Bob Sapp tipped the scales in Mumbai on Saturday at 155kg while James Thompson of the UK came in at 150kg ahead of their super heavyweight main event on the inaugural Super Fight League (SFL 1) show on March 11 in Mumbai, India.

In the lead-up to the fight, there has been a dislike between Sapp and Thompson which has threatened to boil over on numerous occasions. This led to an intense stare down at the weigh-in which caused Phil Baroni to step in and break it up after they clashed heads.

In the biggest talking point from the weigh-in, Sapp threw his arms to the side after stepping onto the scales and hit weigh-in inspector Bill Mahood in the face.

The co-feature fight will see the first ever women’s MMA fight in India with Lena Ovchynnikova (54.8kg) facing off against Sanja Sucevic (52.8kg).

The event, which has been announced as a sellout, will stream live on YouTube.com from 7:15 p.m. Indian local time (9:15 a.m. ET).
