Bubba Bush will defend his Legacy Fighting Championship middleweight title on June 13, but it won’t be against Roger Narvaez.

Legacy promoter Mick Maynard on Tuesday told Sherdog.com that undefeated Narvaez is headed to the UFC. As a result, unbeaten prospect Alfonso Gonzales will now challenge Bush for the middleweight strap at Legacy FC 31, which takes place at Houston’s Arena Theatre and airs live on AXS TV.

Gonzales began his pro career last year and has rattled off five consecutive victories so far, doing the majority of his damage within Washington’s CageSport promotion. Gonzales owns four of his wins via stoppage but went the distance for the first time in his last outing, which resulted in a majority decision victory over Jared Torgeson earlier this month at CageSport 30.

Bush won the LFC middleweight belt last July and went on to defend it successfully this past February, submitting Rakim Cleveland with a rear-naked choke to retain his title at LFC 28. The 28-year-old has won five of his last six fights and has gone the distance just once in nine pro outings.

Narvaez, 30, will sport a perfect 6-0 record when he makes his to-be-announced Octagon debut. “The Silverback” was last seen in September, when he scored a split decision victory over Hayward Charles at LFC 23.
