World Series of Fighting will crown its inaugural featherweight champion on Dec. 7, as Rick Glenn meets Georgi Karakhanyan at World Series of Fighting 7.
AXS TV’s “Inside MMA” first reported the plans, and World Series of Fighting President Ray Sefo subsequently confirmed the booking on Twitter.
Featuring a headlining contest between Anthony Johnson and Mike Kyle, World Series of Fighting 7 takes place at PNE Agrodome in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. The main card airs on NBC Sports Network.
“Insane” Karakhanyan (22-3-1) fights for the World Series of Fighting title in his second fight for the promotion. He debuted in September with an impressive first-round submission win over Waylon Lowe and now boasts an eight-fight win streak.
Meanwhile, “The Gladiator” Glenn (14-2-1) is a Roufusport product who has already earned a pair of World Series of Fighting victories, with a hard-fought decision win over Artur Rofi in September and a third-round knockout of Alexandre Pimentel this past March. After opening his career at a pedestrian 3-2, Glenn is now unbeaten in his past 12 appearances.
