The UFC’s return to California’s state capital in December has its third fight.
Alan Jouban (14-4 MMA, 5-2 UFC) is set to take on Mike Perry (9-0 MMA, 2-0 UFC) in a welterweight bout at UFC on FOX 22. The news first was reported by the Los Angeles Daily News.
UFC on FOX 22 takes place Dec. 17 at Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, Calif. The main card will air on FOX, though the full bout order has not yet been determined. In the main event, Paige VanZant meets Michelle Waterson.
Jouban will be looking for his third straight win when he steps in against Perry. He’s won four of his past five, including two “Fight of the Night” victories over Matt Dwyer and Belal Muhammad. The Muhammad fight took place in July at UFC Fight Night 90 in Las Vegas, which followed up a first-round TKO of Brendan O’Reilly in Australia in March.
Perry will put his perfect record on the line. He made his UFC debut in August with a first-round TKO of Hyun Gyu Lim at UFC 202 in Las Vegas. At UFC 204 earlier this month in England, he knocked out Danny Roberts with 20 seconds left in the third round. All nine of Perry’s career wins are by knockout.
