For the third time, Kevin Ferguson Jr. will attempt his professional MMA debut later this month.
Ferguson Jr. (0-0 MMA, 0-0 BMMA) is set to take on Aaron Hamilton (0-2 MMA, 0-0 BMMA) in a welterweight fight on the prelims of Bellator 165, which takes place Nov. 19 at SAP Center in San Jose, Calif. The main card airs on Spike following prelims on MMAjunkie.
Bellator officials announced the new booking today.
Ferguson Jr., the son of Kimbo Slice known as “Baby Slice,” was scheduled to make his Bellator debut at Bellator 162 in October. But opponent Ray Bing (0-0 MMA, 0-0 BMMA) missed weight by nearly 17 pounds and the 165-pound catchweight fight was canceled. Prior to that, he originally was set to make his Bellator debut in August, but the bout was pushed back due to injury.
Hamilton, from California, made his pro debut in 2010 with a TKO loss to Max Griffin, who this past weekend picked up his first victory in the UFC. He didn’t fight again until March of this year, when he was submitted on a King of the Cage card.
The Bellator 165 card now includes:
MAIN CARD (Spike, 9 p.m. ET)
PRELIMINARY CARD (MMAjunkie, 7 p.m. ET)
