One Fighting Championship Books 4 New Bouts for One FC 18 ‘War Of Dragons’

Four new fights are now official for One FC 18, including a heavyweight clash between Paul Cheng and Mahmoud Hassan.

One Fighting Championship officials announced the bookings on Monday, revealing that Koji Ando and Rafael Nunes will also be in action, as will light heavyweights Jake Butler and Mohamed Ali. Additionally, Koetsu Okazaki will collide with Yusup Saadulaev in a bantamweight showdown.

One FC 18 takes place July 11 at National Taiwan University Sports Center in Taipei City, Taiwan, and will be the first time the largest MMA promotion in Asia has held an event in “The City of Azaleas.” The card airs live via online pay-per-view at onefc.livesport.tv.

A five-fight pro, Cheng has won three of his last four fights and owns a 1-0 record in the One FC cage. “Typhoon” last competed on Dec. 6, finishing Alain Ngalani at One FC 13 “Moment of Truth.” Cheng also doubled as a football star in the Canadian Football League prior to trying his hand at combat sports.

Hassan has seen no success since leaving Extreme Fighting Championship Africa for One FC, losing to Ngalani in his promotional debut. “Hellboy” has actually only tasted victory once in his career, winning his debut in 2012. The Egyptian fighter has also been defeated by newly signed Ultimate Fighting Championship heavyweight Ruan Potts.
