ONE Championship 51 features Vitaly Bigdash vs. Marcin Prachnio title fight

A middleweight title fight will headline ONE Championship’s January event in Indonesia.

Officials recently announced champion Vitaly Bigdash (8-0) will look for his first title defense when he meets challenger Marcin Prachnio (12-2) at ONE Championship 51.

The event takes place Jan. 14 at Jakarta Convention Center in Jakarta, Indonesia, and it streams as an online pay-per-view in North America.

Bigdash, a 32-year-old Russian fighter, returns to competition for the first time since October 2015, when he scored an upset win over Igor Svirid to claim the belt. It marked Bigdash’s promotional debut and gave him his eighth stoppage victory in eight fights since turning pro in 2012.

He now meets Prachnio, a 28-year-old Polish fighter. He recently moved to 3-0 under the ONE Championship banner and extended his overall winning streak to seven with a TKO victory over Jake Butler in August (watch the highlights above). Five of the seven wins have come via knockout.

Among the other additions to the card is a featherweight bout between Martin Nguyen (7-1) and Kazunori Yokota (25-6-3).
