Main Card Finalized for May 15 ShoMMA: Strikeforce Challengers

With the recent addition of two separate match-ups, the main card has been set for the debut of ShoMMA: Strikeforce Challengers series.

George Bush will square off with Lavar “Big” Johnson in a heavyweight showdown with fireworks written all over it, and Bao Quach will meet up with Isaac De Jesus in a fast paced featherweight attraction.

The event will take place on May 15 at the Save Mart Center in Fresno, California and will be airing on Showtime.

The bout with Johnson will mark the first return to action for George Bush since April of 2008 where he suffered a unanimous decision loss to former UFC heavyweight champion Ricco Rodriguez. The loss was the first and only for Bush in a total of six bouts. Four of his five victories have come by stoppage with his sole decision win coming over The Ultimate Fighter season eight finalist Vinicius Magalhaes in May of 2007.

Johnson is a powerful knockout artist that has won ten of his eleven victories by either knockout or TKO. He is currently riding a four fight win streak, with all four bouts being finished by knockout in the first round.

Quach is an extremely tough and well rounded veteran that has earned victories over dangerous opponents such as Cole Escovedo, Del Hawkins and Mark Oshiro during the course of his eight year career. His most recent appearance saw him coming up on the losing end of a unanimous decision to L.C. Davis at Affliction: Day of Reckoning in January.

De Jesus is an undefeated prospect that has made quite a name for himself while fighting out of the War Gods promotion. He has two wins that have come by guillotine choke and the rest have come by decision.
