A lightweight matchup between a pair of fighters looking to build on their first UFC win has been booked for UFC Fight Night 102.
UFC officials today announced that lightweights Marc Diakiese and Frankie Perez have been added to the card, which takes place Dec. 9 at Times Union Center in Albany, N.Y. The entire card streams live on UFC Fight Pass.
“Bonecrusher” Diakiese (10-0 MMA, 1-0 UFC) made his promotional debut earlier this month at UFC 204, surviving a slow start to battle back for a TKO win over Lukasz Sajewski. The 23-year-old Diakiese remains undefeated through the first 10 fights of his professional career.
New Jersey’s Perez (10-2 MMA, 1-1 UFC) made his UFC debut in January 2015 and suffered a TKO loss to Johnny Case. He returned to action in August 2015 and scored a first-round TKO win over Sam Stout. He now fights for the first time in what will be a little more than 15 months on the sidelines.
