Rashad Evans’ light heavyweight showdown with Daniel Cormier has been scratched from UFC 170 after Evans was forced to withdraw due to a leg injury.

UFC officials announced the news on Wednesday night, revealing that the Feb. 22 card will move forward with 10 bouts. UFC 170 takes place at Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas and is headlined by a women’s bantamweight title collision between reigning champion Ronda Rousey and fellow Olympian Sara McMann.

A former UFC light heavyweight champion, Evans earned consecutive victories to close out 2013 after suffering back-to-back defeats to Jon Jones and Antonio Rogerio Nogueira. “Suga” looked especially impressive in his most recent outing, when he stopped Chael Sonnen in the first round of their UFC 167 clash this past November.

Cormier was set to make his 205-pound debut opposite Evans after posting 13 straight wins to begin his career as a heavyweight. The two-time Olympian made his Octagon debut last year, outpointing ex-UFC champion Frank Mir before doing the same to onetime IFL kingpin Roy Nelson at October’s UFC 166.
