Before his fight with Jeff Monson in Japan at World Victory Road’s Sengoku 2. Barnett talked about fighting friends and recounted a funny story about Jeff Monson’s gym bag after he won at Abu Dhabi in 1999.

Barnett’s take on fighting friends was that it would be disrespectful not to fight a friend and not allow his friend to achieve his own dreams.

Barnett is coming off of a victory over fellow former heavyweight champion Andrei Arlovski at UFC Fight Night 93 in Hamburg, Germany.
