Business as usual at Strikeforce since Zuffa’s purchase? Depends on your interpretation.
Former WEC matchmaker Sean Shelby has taken over the same position at Strikeforce and swiftly upgraded the Strikeforce Challengers 16 fight card.
The latest addition is UFC and Dream veteran Jason High, who tweeted on Friday that he is fighting Quinn Mulhern at the June 24 event in Kent, Wash.
High (13-3) is on a four-fight winning streak that includes choking out Rudy Bears at Titan Fighting 16 and a split decision win over highly regarded Japanese fighter Hayato “Mach” Sakurai.
The lesser known Mulhern (15-1) has impressed as a veteran of the King of the Cage ranks, reeling off seven straight victories. He holds wins over the likes of UFC veterans Rich Clementi and Chris Brennan.
Top prospects Caros Fodor and James Terry are set to headline Strikeforce Challengers 16 at the ShoWare Center.
