One of Mexico’s brightest prospects in mixed martial arts is set to make her debut in the UFC.
Alexa Grasso has been booked to fight at UFC Fight Night 96, according to a report published by Indiscutido.com on Thursday. Grasso will face Heather Jo Clark on the card, which takes place Nov. 5 in Mexico City.
Grasso (8-0) has made waves early in her MMA career, most recently in Invicta with a win over Jodie Esquibel. The 23-year-old has finished half of her fights in the distance, picking up a KO or TKO in four outings.
Clark (7-5) is looking to get back on the winning track, having most recently lost to Karolina Kowalkiewicz in May. Prior to that, she bested Bec Rawlings at the TUF 20 Finale in December of 2014.
UFC Fight Night 96 scheduled to take place at the Mexico City Arena and features a lightweight bout between former division champ Rafael Dos Anjos and top contender Tony Ferguson.
