Goiti Yamauchi vs. Valeriu Mircea added to Bellator 168 in Italy

The five-fight main card for Bellator 168 is now complete with the addition of a lightweight contest between Goiti Yamauchi and Valeriu Mircea.

Bellator officials recently announced the new booking for the card, which takes place Dec. 10 at Mandela Forum in Florence, Italy, and airs live on Spike. A rematch between current middleweight champ Rafael Carvalho and Melvin Manhoef headlines the card.

Additionally, Kleber Raimundo Silva (12-7 MMA, 0-0 BMMA) has replaced an injured Pietro Cappelli and will meet Philipe Lins (10-1 MMA, 3-1 BMMA) in a light heavyweight contest on the card.

The 23-year-old Yamauchi (20-3 MMA, 6-2 BMMA), formerly a featherweight prospect, continues his run in the lightweight division after a scintillating 61-second submission win over Ryan Couture at October’s Bellator 162 event. Yamauchi has an incredible 16 submission victories among his 20 career victories.

Meanwhile, Mircea (12-3 MMA, 0-0 BMMA) makes his promotional debut on the strength of a three-fight winning streak that includes two first-round knockout victories. Mircea is actually 9-1 in his past 10 fights, with the lone loss coming to “The Ultimate Fighter 12” cast member Cody McKenzie.

With the additions to the card, Bellator 168 now includes:

• Joey Beltran vs. Alessio Sakara
• Philipe Lins vs. Kleber Raimundo Silva
• Claudio Annicchiarico vs. John Salter
• Valeriu Mircea vs. Goiti Yamauchi
