Back at UFC Fight Night Austin in November 2014, Edgar defeated Swanson via submission in five rounds.
Since then, both fighters have had quite a bit of success. They have both piled up 4-2 records since that fight, with Cub winning four of his last five. Only Edgar has an official UFC fight this year, suffering the first knockout of his career at the hands of Brian Ortega at UFC 222.
As if a rematch wasn't intriguing enough, having both combatants coming off losses in their most recent fights only adds to the intensity.
UFC fans now have one month to get ready for the next chapter of Edgar (21-6-1) vs. Cub (25-8-0).
